Viking Johnson AquaFast Adaptor for pipes made of PE and PVC, d 150 mm [Code number: AF150]

Application purpose:

• For joining pipes made of PE and PVC to the flanges of valves, counters, tie-ins and other equipment
• For neutral liquids at permissible operating temperature + 50 °С

Characteristics:

• Operating pressure up to 16 bar
• One type of flange for PE and PVC pipes
• No additional support for PE pipes required
• No torque wrench required - bolts tighten to stop
• The gap between the ends of the pipes is necessary to: compensate for thermal expansion, prevent transmission of vibration, compensate for sedimentation and facilitate installation/dismantling

Installation:

• The pipe is inserted into a freely assembled flange, with a gap between the end of the pipe and the flange plane of about 20 mm (chamfering is not required)
• Pressure ring bolts tighten all the way

Materials:

• Central adapter, pressure ring and housing: Ductile iron in accordance with BS EN 1563:1997
• Locking ring: Zinc alloy in accordance with BS EN 12844:1999
• Intermediate ring: Malleable cast iron in accordance with BS EN 1563:1997
• Bolts: Steel BS EN ISO 898-1: 2009 Material Category 8.8
• Nuts: Steel to BS EN20898-2: 1994 grade 8
• Sealing collar: EPDM

Coatings:

• Center adapter, pressure ring, and intermediate ring: Rilsan Nylon 11
• Locking ring: cataphoretic coating
• Bolts, nuts: Sheraplex conforming to WIS 4-52-03
