Fachmann parapet drains

Fachmann parapet drains are used in cases where external drainage is required through parapets and balconies on low roof areas.

The drains have a square cross-section of 100x100 mm.

Material: frost-resistant PP or PVC composite.

Main advantages:

The scope of application of the Fachmann VC-PVC 100x100x650 attica drain is flat roofs with bitumen insulation. It is used in the construction of external drainage systems of buildings to drain drains through balconies / parapets on lowered sections of a flat roof. It is made of a polyvinyl chloride composition with strength, frost resistance, resistance to atmospheric factors, ultraviolet radiation, and high temperatures.

Equipment

The attica drain consists of the following parts:

  • The housing includes a receiving angle flange and a square-section discharge pipe for drainage of rainwater/meltwater. The high strength of the entire structure is provided by an aluminum stiffness element.
  • The leaf catcher (removable) is designed to protect against ingress of leaves, branches and other debris into the storm drain.
  • The angular outlet is used to connect the pipe to an external organized drain. It is made of polypropylene, cross section 100x100 mm, output diameter 100 mm, adapter angle 90°. The reliability of the fastening is provided by the internal ribs.

Main features

The Fachmann VC-PVC 100x100x650 attica drain has the following distinctive features:

  • Increased flange dimensions 454x244 mm.
  • Increased release length of 650 mm.
  • Strength, rigidity, wide temperature range from -50° C to +90° C, long service life of over 50 years.
  • Throughput capacity is 480 l/m.

The Fachmann attica drain is mounted on a section of the roof having drop of 20-30 mm, with size of at least 500x500 mm. A decrease is created by reducing the layer of backfill insulation or the thickness of thermal insulation. Installation must be carried out before installing a waterproof carpet.

Due to the high heat resistance of the polymer, deformation of the water intake bowl is eliminated during the welding of the EPDM or PVC membrane layer. A special hair dryer with a stable air flow temperature within 450 °C – 550 °C must be used for welding. Mounting of the flange to the base is usually carried out by 6 fasteners: 4 on a vertical, 2 on a horizontal surface.
