MVI cross-linked polyethylene pipes are divided into several series:

PE.2XX – they are used for installation of water supply systems and low-temperature heating (e.g. underfloor heating);
PE.4XX – they are suitable for water supply systems and high-temperature (up to +90°C) heating;
PE.520.04WO – they are used only for water supply (without oxygen barrier layer).

All pipes (except PE.520.04WO) have a special barrier layer of ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH), which prevents oxygen from penetrating into the coolant through the pipe wall.
