Application purpose:

• For the installation of pipes made of various materials (steel, malleable and gray cast iron, asbestos cement, fiberglass, PVC and some others) and flanges of valves, meters and other equipment
• For neutral liquids at permissible operating temperature + 50 °С

Characteristics:

• Working pressure up to 10 bar (water) and up to 6 bar (gas)
• One type of flange for pipes of different materials
• The design provides easy and quick installation
• The gap between the flange plane and the end of the pipe is necessary to: compensate for thermal expansion, prevent vibration transmission, compensate for soil settlement and facilitate assembly/disassembly

Installation:

• Pipe is inserted into a loosely assembled flange, while providing a gap between the flange plane and the pipe end of about 20 mm (chamfering is not required)
• Pressure ring bolts are tightened to the stop

• Pressure ring and adapter housing / Center pipe: Mild Steel to BS EN 10025-2 Grade S275
• Studs: Steel to BS EN ISO 898-1 Property Class 4.8
• Nuts: Steel to BS EN 4190 Grade 4
• Washers: Stainless Steel to BS 1449:Part 2 Grade 304 S15
• Sealing collar: EPDM Grade “E” to BS EN 681-1 Type WA WRAS Listed Nitrile compound to Grade G BS EN 682, Type G

Coating:

• Flange Adaptor Body & End Ring: Rilsan Nylon 11 to WIS 4-52-01 Part 1
• Bolts & Nuts: Sheraplex to WIS 4-52-03

Tightening torque for bolts: 55-65 Nm.
