Stormwater piping systems are made from a variety of materials but the most commonly used pipes and fittings are PVC, PP, and HDPE. Such systems have several important advantages:

  • plastic products are lightweight, making their transportation and installation much easier;
  • the inner surface of plastic pipes is smooth, respectively, deposits do not accumulate on it;
  • plastic is resistant to corrosion;
  • excellent technical characteristics;
  • acceptable price;
  • long service life.

And pipes made of PP or HDPE also have increased frost resistance and elasticity, and are also able to withstand greater ground pressure than PVC products.
