Fire protection couplings

Fire protection coupling – it is a special element of pipeline system which is used for protection the premises against fires. The group of products uncludes the several types of fire protection couplings:

  • PAM-GLOBAL SVB fire protection couplings which are made of chrome steel and intended for cast iron SML pipes;
  • Wavin fire couplings which are suitable for PVC pipes with diameters from 40 to 200 mm;
  • Rehau fire couplings which provide fire resistance limit up to 90 min. The couplings, depending on the type, can consist of a liner made of thermo-expanding material, and a detachable casing or they can consist of two segments combined with straps;
  • Geberit fire protection sleeves – the sleeves are classified as safety class  S 90, R 90, EI 90 and they can have diameter from 32 to 200 mm, and the sleeves. which are suitable only for the Silent-db20 piping system, are suitable for pipes with diameters from 56 to 160 mm.

Application purposes:

  • For protection against the spread of smoke and fire
  • For pipe feed-throughs in wall or ceiling
  • For horizontal installation in walls of fire resistance class F 30 to F 120 with Geberit Silent-db20 and Geberit HDPE
  • For vertical or oblique installation in ceilings of fire resistance class F 30 to F 120 with Geberit Silent-db20, partly or completely mortared in place
  • For installation in ceilings over Geberit Silent-db20 clamping connector, insulation tape made of PE, insulation hose made of PE, electrofusion coupling and butt-welding connections or Isol sound insulation mat
  • For installation over pipe changes in direction

Characteristics:

  • Fire resistance class R 30, R 60, R 90 and R 120 in accordance with DIN 4102-11
