Fire protection sleeves

Fire protection sleeve is a special product used to provide passive protection against fire and smoke. These elements are installed at the points of intersection of various barriers by the pipeline.

On average, the design of a fire sleeve includes a housing and a special fire protection sleeves material that expands when the ambient temperature rises to a certain level. The coupling swells, after which the entire opening is covered with thermally expanding material, isolating the room in which the fire started from the other part of the building.

Fire protection sleeves are able to resist fire for 3 hours. They are also easy to assemble and dismantle.

Application purpose:

To block the spread of fire along cable lines
For installation in places of passage of cables, pipelines of engineering systems, technological pipelines

Characteristics:

due to the fact that the coupling body is detachable, it can be mounted on an already laid cable line;
metal parts are powder coated to reduce corrosion (colour: red);
triggers approximately 15 seconds after the temperature rises to +150°C;
expansion coefficient: not less than 900%;
the fire resistance limit is 180 minutes;
service life: 30 years (at temperatures from -50 to +80°C).

Installation recommendations:

the thickness of the walls where the cable passage is mounted must be at least 150 mm;
the cable sleeve is installed on both sides in a metal sleeve in the ceiling along the cable lines. If there is no sleeve, installation is possible in a hole sealed with mineral wool;
fastened with anchor bolts or metal dowels.
