Anti-flood valves are divided into two types:

  • Mechanical;
  • Electric.

Mechanical anti-flood valves are equipped with one or more mechanical flaps. Some models are equipped with a manual lock for fixation the position of the flap.

Electric anti-flood valves differ from mechanical valves by the presence of electronically controlled flap, so that they can operate in autonomous mode. The design of the electrical anti-flood valves allows the flap to be held in the open position, if it is not required to close the flow of the waste water. This reduces the risk of blockage, besides, no obstructions for flow of the waste water. In the event of a power failure, the electric anti-flood valves are equipped with built-in battery that automatically turns off after the electricity supply resumes and switches to the recharging mode.

All anti-flood valves are used to protect the premises from flooding, also they protect the premises from rodents.
