Geberit sound insulation is mounted on top of piping systems to reduce the level of noise that drains produce. sound insulation is installed in places where there are direct points of contact between the wall and the pipeline (or where they may occur). For example, the use of sound insulation is necessary when passing a pipe through a ceiling or wall.
To reduce the noise level, the following elements can be used:
Geberit Silent-db20 Noise absorbing gasket Isol Flex consists of a protective film that prevents the ingress of moisture, which allows the Isol Flex gasket to be used as a vapor barrier for the pipeline.
The sound propagation through the air is hampered by a special film made of EPDM with mineral filler (BaSO4) and a flame retardant, a layer of polyurethane foam prevents the propagation of structural sound.
