Ostendorf vacuum valves are used to compensate for pressure in the sewer system - the disrupted waste water forms a low pressure in the upper area of the riser. This problem usually does not occur in risers of sufficient size, since the pressure in them is leveled due to the addition of incoming air. With an insufficient amount of incoming air, breakouts can occur. To avoid this, the so-called Ostendorf vacuum valves are installed on the risers - they provide timely air supply to the riser.
Ostendorf vacuum valves not only allow the required amount of air into the sewer system, but also reliably block the penetration of odors and liquids to the outside.
The Ostendorf valve can be used as additional ventilation of the sewer system in buildings of any number of floors and as the main ventilation in two-story buildings.
The throughput capacity of the Ostendorf air valve reaches 46 l/s at a standard pressure of up to 250 Pa.
