Elbows with a side of 250 mm can be shortened maximum as a size – K. It allows you to produce optimal fit of the pipes to the body of the building. When using 450-elbows in the construction practice can be applied shortening ratio of 1:1.5. This means: for reducing the size of A and L to 1 cm longer, off the diagonal direction should be shortened to 1.5 cm. In the following table for the distance between the pipes at the junction areas added 5 mm. From the representation of the other three possible combinations of these elbows (the long side with the long and the short with short or long side on top) it was decided to refuse because of the simplicity of the method of calculation.
